About Us

  • Our Vision

The Finding is a church captivated by the wonder of Jesus. The heart of this ministry is devoted to declaring the revelation of Jesus Christ—His body, His blood, His cross.

We are located in Bellevue, WA (just outside Seattle, WA), where the ministry hosts weekly Sunday night services, Tuesday Bible studies, Thursday prayer sets, and annual conferences. The prayer of this community is that all who visit will surrender to and encounter the presence of Jesus.

    Our Mission

The Finding is passionate about building a home for the presence of Jesus in our city. Scripture teaches that we are living stones, called to be a resting place for our precious Lord. Our prayer is that as Jesus dwells in our midst, His presence will touch our community, our city, and our nation for His glory.

    The Finding Church

The Finding church community is the foundation in which everything at The Finding is rooted. A weekly gathering intended to bring all who come into a pursuit of knowing the face of Jesus and giving our lives to look like Him. As a church, we build a resting place for Jesus, and the overflow of what He does in us will impact our local community and city. Our desire is that Jesus would receive the reward of His suffering in us and in our city, for He is worthy. We meet every Sunday night at 6 PM.
    ____

    The Finding Events

The Finding events are the branch of the ministry designed to bring what the Lord is doing in our community to the nations. For a few years now, believers have flown in from all over the world to gather and love Jesus in Seattle, WA. What the Lord does here is then sent out across the world to advance the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a privilege and honor to refresh hungry souls with the presence of our Lord.

    The Finding Bible Study

The Finding Bible Studies are the core way we disciple the next generation. We gather young adults between the ages of 18-30 to intentionally teach them about worship, prayer, fasting, Scripture, baptism, communion, and most importantly, truly loving Jesus. The next generation will carry the Gospel farther than we could dream of, and it is biblical to raise them up in the powerful truth of God’s holy Word.
    ____

    The Finding Devotionals

The Finding Devotionals are bi-weekly prayer sets where we, first and foremost, minister to the beautiful and gentle heart of Jesus. This is our way of raising holy priests unto God. For those who come, do not expect to be led as in most other meetings. Here, our worship teams gather to love Him, and anyone is welcome to join us as we do so. Our secondary purpose for these devotionals is to teach our worship leaders how to become pure Levites unto the Lord. We don’t seek the talented—we seek those who are devoted to Jesus.
    ____

    The Finding Worship

Our worship is single-focused: Jesus. We strongly believe there is a manner of worship in which Jesus finds delight, and we will give our lives to discovering that way of life. Our prayer is that our worship would always draw the listener into Jesus and echo heaven’s songs here on earth.
    ____

    The Finding Media

The Finding media is our way of equipping those who are hungry around the world through the internet. Our devotion is to always point to the Living Bread, which is Christ Himself. You can find The Finding on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and our website at thefinding.com.

  • We believe the entire Bible as the divine Word of God from Genesis to Revelation.

    The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to mankind, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (2 Timothy 3:15-16; 1 Peter 2:2).
    ____

    God – Eternal, Creator, Redeemer

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).
    ____

Jesus – Son of God, Savior, Resurrected

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31; Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22), His miracles (Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38), His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9; Acts 1:11; Acts 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3).

That man was created good and upright, for God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31: 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7). The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:12).
    ____

    Holy Spirit – Co-equal, Co-eternal and Co-existent

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby) to the Church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and is distinct from the experience of New Birth. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:29; Acts 1:4; 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31). The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant to empower the believer to be a witness of Jesus Christ by the preaching and demonstration of the Gospel. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are also evidence of this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infilling of the Spirit. The ultimate purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have power to be witnesses (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2).
    ____

    Baptism

The Lord Jesus Christ, Head of the Church, established two ordinances for the Church to follow: Water Baptism and Communion. Baptism in water, by full immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord. It is for all believers. This holy sacrament identifies the believer with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22).
    ____

    Communion

The ordinance of Communion is also a commandment of the Lord Jesus that must be received consistently until His return. Only believers can come to the Table of the Lord, which consists of the bread and the cup. The bread – His body, which was broken for us. The cup – His blood that was shed for us. Both elements are witnesses of the New Covenant believers now enjoy while prophetically declaring His soon return (2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26).
    ____

    Sanctification

The Scripture teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. (I Thessalonians 5:23; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14)
    ____

    The Church

The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; Hebrews 12:33).

A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in: Evangelization of the world (Mark 16:15-20); worship of God (John 4:23,24); edification of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16).
    ____

    Healing

Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17).
    ____

    Resurrection

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:12; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Romans 8:23).
    ____

    Promises

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the Millennial reign of Christ on earth is the Scriptural promise and the world’s hope (2 Thessalonians 1:17; Revelation 19:11-14; Romans 11:26-27; Revelation 20:1-7).
    ____

    Judgment

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15).

“We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22).
    ____

  • We believe in one true God, the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that exists. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truth. God has revealed Himself as eternally self-existent— one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, guiding us in our pursuit of faith and action. We believe that humanity was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him. However, we willfully chose to reject His Lordship and glory, resulting in the entrance of sickness, death, and judgment into the world. Consequently, all of creation suffers from the effects and consequences of sin.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Jesus inaugurated God's kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. Today, He lives in the presence of God the Father and within His people. He is both "true God" and "true man."

We believe that salvation comes by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Restoration to fellowship with God is available to anyone who repents, believes, and receives Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us, bringing us into God's kingdom as His beloved sons and daughters. We believe in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us to enable a holy life and supernatural ministry. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as described in Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, empowers believers to be effective witnesses of God’s kingdom.

We believe in the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross, which liberates us from the power of sin, lies, sickness, and torment. We believe that the Church, comprising all who put their faith in Jesus Christ, is called to continue His ministry. The Church is entrusted with the ordinances of baptism and communion and is dedicated to advancing His kingdom by counteracting the works of the enemy, proclaiming, and living out the good news of Jesus Christ, and discipling nations through baptism and teaching.

We believe in the ever-expanding government of God and eagerly anticipate the Blessed Hope: the glorious, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride—the Church. We believe in the reality of heaven and hell. There will be a resurrection of both the lost and the saved, leading to everlasting death for some and everlasting life for others.

Jesus is Lord and King who reigns forever!

  • The Nicene Creed

    We believe in one God,
    Father Almighty,
    Creator of heaven and earth,
and of all things visible and invisible.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
    the only Son of God,
    eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
    true God from true God,
    begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
He came down from heaven: By the power of the Holy Spirit
He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
    and was made man.

    For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day He rose again
    in accordance with the Scriptures;
    He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
    who proceeds from the Father.
With the Father and the Son
    He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.

    Amen.
